Early Internet Days - GeoTag traces its roots back to the early entrepreneurial wild west days of the Internet. The first applications were developed in an environment with fewer than 18,000 websites in the world. The early innovators’ goal was to offer Fortune 500 applications and communication tools to small to middle sized businesses, all at an affordable price.

Our Town Community Pages - The first major product to use the GeoTag patented technology was an early interactive online search directory. The directory was first called “Our Town” and later changed to the ZLAND® Yellow Pages as it is known today. This online directory gave customers of local, small to middle sized businesses the ability to focus their search geographically to locate products and services near their home and work.

Application Service Provider (ASP) Model - In an effort to provide a more efficient means of delivering sophisticated software applications to small to middle sized businesses that lacked IT departments, GeoTag’s innovators created the technology for hosting software applications on a central server and making them accessible using an internet connection from a desktop computer. This is known today as Software as a Service (SAS) or Cloud Computing.

ZLAND PowerSuite™ Business Applications - Using its newly developed SAS tool set, GeoTag’s innovators were able to create a sophisticated series of business applications powerful enough for a Fortune 500 company yet simple enough for a small to middle sized business. The technology of hosted business applications is today a standard in the industry.
