Product - Today, GeoTag provides a complete and comprehensive search engine for the businesses and organizations of Texas. Our ZLAND® Yellow Pages address the needs of Texas growing small to middle size business community and organizations. GeoTag makes it possible for small to middle size businesses and various organizations to compete against the large companies, organizations and national chains by giving priority to advertisers who are local to the Texas communities. We also make available from our ZLAND® Yellow Pages sophisticated applications that serve the internal and external needs of small to middle sized businesses and organizations.
Products and Innovation
Licensing - GeoTag also licenses its patented technologies to companies and organizations that have a desire to use GeoTag® location-based technologies on their company and organization websites. GeoTag licenses it's technology in the areas of store locator, product locator, dealer locator, careers, job search, classifieds, dating search, search and advertising, mobile search and advertising, coupon and daily deals, yellowpages and other areas.
Management
Management - GeoTag's management team is comprised of a group of innovators who were some of the early Internet pioneers.
Chief Executive Officer, Director and Inventor John W. Veenstra
Mr. Veenstra has been GeoTag's Chief Executive Officer since December 2010. Mr. Veenstra is the co-inventor of a United States Patent No. 5,930,474 titled Internet Organizer for Accessing Geographically and Topically Based Information ( 474 ). Previously, Veenstra served as CEO and Chairman of Cityhub.com, Inc., a privately held patent holding company. In 1995 he founded and served as the CEO and Chairman of ZLAND.com, Inc. an early internet pioneer with innovations in online yellow pages, location search and a full suite of business applications delivered via the cloud (SAS).
Previously Veenstra had a twenty year career in publicly listed Fortune 500 companies such as Chrysler Corporation, Consolidated Freightways (Con-Way) and Wallace Computer Services (Moore Business Forms/RR Donnelly & Sons).
Executive - Lawrence P. Howorth
Mr. Howorth has been a GeoTag Executive since January 2011. Mr. Howorth has over 35 years of multinational operations and financial executive experience in software and internet technology, waste management and renewable energy, retail, petroleum and mining, clean-tech, education, building and development. He serves on the Board of Directors of HOWORTH International, LLC, a multinational provider of business development services in Brazil and other international markets. Prior to that, Mr. Howorth led the international financial operations of Smith International (NYSE: SII) and was Chief Financial Officer and President of Learning Tree International (NASDAQ: LTRE). Mr. Howorth also co-founded Event411 Inc. and SOFTBANK Interactive Marketing Inc. Mr. Howorth qualified as a Canadian Chartered Accountant and was part of the Professional Audit and Consulting Staff for KPMG
